Trompe L'oeil Drawing

I'm sorry I haven't had time to post anything after joining several months ago.

Here is one I completed a few weeks ago called "A String of Memories".

Tinker Toys, Yo-Yos, Jacks, and Lincoln Logs and are some of the toys that baby-boomers grew up with. These toys from the past represent a much simpler time that many people yearn for. A photo captures a moment in time, but I’ve drawn the Yo-Yo string in a way that links us to the past. This entire image is drawn including the tape, and string. Charcoal was used for the background and carbon for the masking tape. Graphite, carbon and charcoal were all used to draw the elements in what looks like a photo. It is 11 x 14 so the string is life size.
